LOCATION - Sydney, Australia
RELEASE DATE - April 17th 2025 2025 (via Ditto)
"Metro Girl" is a playful yet deeply desperate anthem for anyone who's yearned to be noticed by someone they no longer speak to. With sharp wit and unhinged lyricism, the song marries soft acoustic guitar with punchy, distorted drums to capture a raw sense of longing and frustration. This cheeky yet poignant commentary dives into the ache of unreciprocated attention, exploring the bittersweet complexities of love and the relentless pursuit of validation. It’s a dramatic reflection on how far one might go to truly be seen by someone they adore—no matter the cost.

Say I was an A&R at a label (a job I would love to do). I would seriously look into offering Ama a deal. 'Sucks' is a massive track, one that I think is right in the wheelhouse of Maisie Peters/Holly Humberstone fans.
Ben Madden - Spin to win

"The attention-grabbing title might convince you to press play, but her confessional lyrics and heartfelt vocals will convince you to put it on repeat"
Lauren Katulka - Sounds of Oz

"It’s clear that Ama is a rising star in the alt-pop/indie scene, and we can’t wait to see what she does next."
